Truly a gr8 blog. I too am a fan of A. Lange Sohne and thought of leaving my comment. The Manucature's SIHH 10 releases are great too. Minimalistic design but says a lot.

A number of my posts bang on about how much I hated an overly complicated or cluttered dial, but I don't know, why, I happen to like this one and like it a lot despite that. Same goes for the Tag Heuer Monaco, I never liked square watches before but when I put it on it was love, and who can really explain love?

Andrew,

I love Tissot. In fact, decades ago, a Tissot(I don't remember the model, looked like a Carmel but with a gold band) was my very first "dress watch" - read that as simply too expensive to bang around everyday. It was sleek and elegant. And I'll probably get another one (the ex-wife snatched that one). But seriously, when I looked at this photo, there is so much going on on the watch face I had a hard time figuring out what time it was! Honestly...how many times have you used the stopwatch? Or for that matter any of the other gadgetry on this thing? If I'm timing a race horse or a muscle car, I'm bringing a regular stopwatch. I'm an avid scuba diver so I got myself a Rolex Submariner but do I ever use it for anything scuba related? Rarely, but I got it more because they're pretty much indestructible. And aside from the rotating bezel, it simply tells me the time. Call me a purist, but unless I'm going on some military or space mission, I only want my watch to do two things...tell me the time, and look good on my arm.

The new Navitimer 125E Anniversaire is a great looking "Alpha" watch! Not sure how long this trend of super large size watches will last but Breitling certainly makes them! We are authorized dealers. On the Bentley pictured above, the outer ring of numbers is a variable tachometer. Used in conjunction with the chronograph, this device resembling a slide rule enables a person to measure an average speed, whatever the time elapsed, the distance covered or the speed reached. hope that hexplains the feature.
